  • 6 cogs on 2 aluminum spiders, plus steel lockring and spacers
  • SRAM MTB derailleurs are generally compatible (check its chain wrap capability), Shimano derailleurs require a longer B-tension screw
  • Fits traditional Shimano style 8,9 and 10 speed mountain bike freehub bodies.  Also fits 11-speed road freehub bodies if you add a spacer.  Does not fit SRAM XD. 
  • Black Finish has an ED coating for extra corrosion resistance

Some large cassettes use aluminum for the granny gears, but I ride sandy trails that wear down parts. I prefer the wear resistance of steel and the weight penalty over other options is negligible.
