The MK3 rack is a very solidly built rack that weighs in on the heavier side. There are lighter racks out there if weight is a concern of yours. There are thick welds on the aluminum tubing and beefy thick steel footer plates that attach to either eyelet or QR skewer. This won't work with Thru-axle mounts, and if you use the QR skewer method of mounting, then you are likely to need a longer skewer, owing to the thickness of the steel footer plates. I am using this by mounting to my frame eyelets, so I don't have to worry about that. It comes with stainless steel mounting hardware. Made in Taiwan. Very happy with this rack. It allowed me to mount my rear panniers about 4 inches more rearward and also a little bit lower than my last rack, which wasn't very adjustable.
